A country estate has been left red-faced after a poorly translated sign gave Hindi speaking visitors a very unwelcome surprise.

The Lulworth Estate in Dorset had left signs out telling people not to drop their litter on the beach near Durdle Door, however in the Hindi translation the word 'rubbish' had been incorrectly translated.

Instead of asking visitors to the site to take their rubbish home with them, the estate had actually told them not to drop 'b******t' on the beach.

It is not yet clear whether the blunder was down to a poor internet translator or whether human error at fault for the mistake.
