A home fit for Goldilocks, this country cottage is just right...

The picturesque thatched property where author Robert Southey first penned the famous story of three bears and their unwanted house guest is now on the market for £1.15million.

From the outside Burton Cottage, in the village of Burton, just outside Christchurch in Dorset, looks much like it would have at the start of the 19th century when Southey lived there.

But inside it is a contemporary dream that even fussy Goldilocks would struggle to find fault with.
