A group of beach hut owners have been evicted from a coastal beauty spot after a local council refused to replenish a shingle bank that washed away.

Around 20 owners were last week given their marching orders from Hordle Cliff in Hants after coastal erosion left a 12ft drop outside the timber chalets.
Some rent-payers were given as little seven days notice to vacate the pebble beach, condemning at estimated £1.1m worth of beach huts to destruction.
