Abseiling conservationists needed a head for heights to tackle this tall order - scaling 82ft to inspect a 30-tonne marble bust of King Louis XIV.
Rope access technicians Tom Brennan and Mark Fresch have been carrying out an inspection of the exterior of Blenheim Palace to check for any loose or damaged stonework.
The hair-raising job brought them face-to-face with the massive 6.5ft head of France's famous Sun King, which was looted by the Duke of Marlborough in 1709.
The work is part of an ongoing £40m restoration programme at the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Oxfordshire.
