The vendor may have needed to sit down after these four humble looking wooden chairs sold for over £5 million at Bonhams this week.
The seller of this set of four Chinese chairs will need a sit down after they sold for a whopping £5.3million.
The incredibly rare set of Huanghuali folding chairs are considered a masterpiece of Ming Dynasty furniture and were tipped to sell for £150,000.

But after a fierce bidding war in a packed saleroom at Bonhams in London they sold for more than 35 times that - £5,296,500.
The chairs, which are the only known version of this form and type, were owned by distinguished Italian diplomat Francesco Maria, Marchese Taliani de Marchio, and his wife Maragaretha, the Archduchess d'Austria Toscana.
