A fascinating archive of photos that offer an insight into what postwar Germany was like just after the end of WW2 has come to light.
The incredible album of 262 black and white pictures show the stark aftermath of the war - buildings reduced to rubble in the capital Berlin, a flooded town and an abandoned factory where the Germans made their deadly V-2 rockets.
They are believed to have been taken by a British soldier who was with Allied forces administrating the war ravaged country a year after the end of hostilities.
The archive is being sold by Martel Maides on Guernsey on June 9.
