Incredible survivor - Caretta today.

A couple who spent £3,000 saving an historic 'little' ship that served in and survived three wars are now set to sell it for £160,000.

Arron and Tina French found the 40ft Caretta in a run-down and rotten state in a marina where it had languished for almost 20 years.

They bought it for £2,200 and remarkably spent £1,000 and four months restoring it to its former 19th century glory.

They have now decided to sell it and although it has been given a pre-sale estimate of £60,000, they have been told the historic vessel could go for almost three times that figure.
