A crash helmet that F1 legend Ayrton Senna wore on his way to his second World Championship has sold for £142,000. ($162,000)
The Brazilian wore the green, yellow and blue head protection throughout the 1990 season when he was embroiled in a legendary battle with great rival Alain Prost.
Senna, who was killed in a crash in 1994, wore the helmet in one of the most controversial moments in F1 history.
Knowing that if Prost did not finish in the penultimate race of the season Senna would be world champion, he intentionally smashed into the Frenchman on the first corner.
