Blank cheque... the rear of the bank note.
An extremely rare, very early Falkland Islands £1 note has emerged for sale 105 years later - for £5,000.
The historic 'Government of the Falkland Islands' note, which has blue print and a geometric watermark, was issued on March 3, 1915.
Only a few thousand were printed between 1899 and 1920, with examples seldom going under the hammer.
This note is being sold by an undisclosed vendor with London based auctioneer Dix Noonan Webb.
An expert said it was unusual for a £1 note from the era not to be redeemed as back then it would have been 'an awful lot of money' - equating to a week's wage for some manual workers.
