A prestigious private school wants a public footpath that runs across its land diverted due to the amount of dogs' mess left on its immaculate playing fields.
Bosses at £30,000 a year Canford School in Dorset have also cited concerns for the safety of ramblers being hit by stray golf balls as the path runs close to its golf course.
They have applied to the local council to reroute the long-established path off their land altogether.
One objector said: "The level of pettiness and entitlement is unreal."
