At Choate - Jack Kennedy (right) and Rip Horton who were both members pf the dramam club rehearsing a scene.

Candid photographs of a young John F. Kennedy that give a rare glimpse into his childhood before he became one of the biggest political figures of the 20th century have emerged for sale.

The grainy black and white snaps of JFK in his teenage years show the future president relaxing with his family and school friends in the mid 1930s.

Two of the images have never been published before - one of Kennedy and his classmates including Lem Billings and Bud Wynne at Choate, and the other of him with his father and sister Kathleen on a ship.

The photos are tipped to fetch $2,000 - around £1,300 - when they go under the hammer at RR Auction.
