Bob Dylan's legendary electric guitar which sparked outrage from some fans who accused him of betraying his folk roots has emerged for sale for £425,000.

The music icon used this 1965 Fender Telecaster electric guitar during his 1966 UK tour and encountered hostility from hecklers who shouted 'Judas' at him during performances.

The guitar, which has also been used by Beatle George Harrison and Eric Clapton, belonged to Canadian musician Robbie Robertson whose band The Hawks performed with Dylan during the tour.
Dylan later used this guitar on his 1966 album Blonde on Blonde and a series of 1967 recordings which would be released eight years later as The Basement Tapes.
