Howard M. Rinehardt, at Simms Station, circa 1912.
A fascinating archive of previously unseen photographs documenting the Wright Brothers' pioneering advances in early flight has come to light.
The black and white photos chart Wilbur and Orville Wright's work developing their rudimentary aircraft in the years following their historic first powered flight in 1903.
The collection was compiled by aviation enthusiast Walt Burton, who bought two albums of photos of the Wright Brothers from Frank Hermes, a businessman who paid the pair to fly his freight around.
It expected to fetch upwards of £20,000 when it goes under the hammer at Swann Auction Galleries.
