The iconic monocle worn by the late astrologer Sir Patrick Moore has been put up for sale along with several of his globes he used on TV's The Sky at Night.<br />

The legendary stargazer was well known throughout his career for wearing the old-fashioned single lens to correct the sight in one eye.<br />
<br />
The item - valued at £800 - is one of numerous personal effects from the eccentric astronomer's home in Selsey, West Sussex, that have been put up for auction as part of his estate.
