Lance Corporal Anthony Coulthard.

The poignant story of how a British Prisoner of War paid with his life for turning back for a comrade during an audacious escape has been uncovered in an old suitcase.

Frederick Foster and Antony Coulthard had travelled 1,000 miles across Poland and Germany before one of them was caught by a German guard on the Swiss border.

Coulthard, who was free, went back for him and was also caught. He went on to die on a 'death march' towards the end of the war.
Now Sgt Foster's son Steve is turning the epic escape into a book.
