Farmer's are getting in touch with their inner Dr Dolittle thanks to new technology that let's chickens reveal their inner thoughts.
They can now understand the clucks and squawks of their flocks to know if their feathers are ruffled by heat or cold, if they are hungry or even sick.
Scientists have been able to identify 11 different sounds the hens make to communicate and use them to make their environment better.
Applied Poultry near Chesterfield in Derbyshire, are the only British farm taking part in a project run by Leuven University in Belgium.
