A camp photo of a knobbly-kneed Adolf Hitler that he later tried to ban has been unearthed in an album taken as a souvenir by a British soldier 73 years ago.

The black and white snap depicts the evil dictator sat arms crossed on a chair wearing lederhosen and knee-high socks with his bare legs on display.

The snap, taken in the 1920s, has been found in an album recovered from the home of notorious Nazi Viktor Lutze. It will be sold by Hansons Auctioneers.
