A historic collection of 20 original Tintin ink drawings are on sale for an astonishing £2.1 million.

The drawings, produced by the Belgian cartoonist George Remi, known as Hergé, were ordered by a publisher to be used for seasonal greetings cards between 1942-1943.

The cards are considered to be the first marketing product of The Adventures of Tintin to reach the public.
