Treasure Jones kept the bell from the Mauretania to be used as a doorbell at his home in Southampton.

Capt John Treasure Jones captained the Mauretania, and Queen Elizabeth before commanding the Queen Mary on her final Atlantic crossing in 1967.
During WW2 he was torpedoed off Ireland before captaining a Sunflower class Corvette, he finished the war serving under Mountbatten in the Far East.
