The Seagulls have landed...
Lyme Regis council have come up with a cunning plan to rid the Dorset seaside town of its seagull menace this Easter - they've recruited two huge bald eagles to patrol the genteel resort.
Tourism bosses fear over aggressive seagulls are scaring away visitors and have hired the two fearsome birds of prey to patrol the beaches and promenades this Easter.
Like many coastal resorts, Lyme Regis in Dorset has a longstanding problem with angry gulls attacking tourists and pinching their chips and ice creams.
Initial reports after the first deployment of eagles Winnie and Kojak yesterday suggest that the Seagull's are now keeping their distance.
