A toilet block has been destroyed by a 50 tonne land slip at a picturesque tourist hot spot in a bustling seaside resort town.

The mud and rock was torn from the 80ft cliff last night and tumbling boulders have also put a popular Victorian lift out of action.

Officials have cordoned off a 70ft swathe of beachfront after the rock face crumbled near a memorial to Red Arrow pilot John Egging in Bournemouth.
