Road to nowhere...Britain's worst bridge has closed yet again, and red faced council can only promise it will reopen in 'mid Autumn'.
Bridge of sighs - A £37million bridge which has endured a litany of mishaps is now out of action again - until the mid-Autumn.
The Twin Sails Bridge in Poole, Dorset, which is currently stuck in an upright position, has been plagued by numerous technical faults since it was unveiled amid much fanfare in 2012.
It was previously out of action in November and December of last year, and for two weeks in February.
The latest closure is a further blow to locals as the Sandbanks Ferry, which covers a 250ft stretch of water between Sandbanks and Studland, has been shut since July and will not run again until October - forcing motorists to make a 25 mile detour.
It has sparked outrage on social media, with some labelling it an 'expensive white elephant'.
