Rare travel posters advertising the exotic delights of India in the glory days of the British Raj have emerged for sale after they were discovered rolled up in a loft.<br />

The art deco-style posters were commissioned by the Indian Government in the early 1930s to entice travellers and expats to the country's tourist hotspots.<br />
<br />
India and neighbouring Sri Lanka, then known as Ceylon, were a vital part of the Empire at the time and the travel there was greatly encouraged.
