Fish and chippy...
A fishery owner has paid tribute to his favourite carp by having a 7ft long wooden sculpture of it made by a skilled wood carver.
Rich Paull, who runs the Fishermen’s Retreat carp venue in France, wanted to create a homage Crosby, a beloved carp, and decided to have the sculpture made in his honour.
The beautifully crafted result, nicknamed 'carp deity' is fashioned from English oak and weighs half-a-tonne. It also measures a staggering 7ft long and features a series of stunningly accurate details.
The main body, featuring one solid piece of timber, features a number of gills and scales and the fins were attached separately.
