Gunner Fred Bemrose RFA (in RAMC uniform), Fred was killed at Fromelles on 20th July 1916.
A decision by Australia to bar the British from the centenary commemorations of a disastrous First World War battle that both countries blamed each other for has caused outrage.
The families of the British men who died at the Battle of Fromelles have been told they are not invited to a special service which is being organised by the Australian government.
The 1916 offensive involved 20,000 British and Australian troops. It turned into a bloody massacre with over 7,000 Allied casualties.
