Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna of Russia and Colonel Nicholas Kulikovsky in their living room at Knudsminde November 17, 1941.
A remarkable series of letters from one of the surviving Romanovs have been unearthed which reveal her 'hate' towards the Allies in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution.
The Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna - the younger sister of Tsar Nicholas II - penned more than 50 letters to her sister Xenia between 1916 and 1920 which provide a fascinating insight into the perilous existence of the Romanovs, the last Russian royal family.
The letters were written mostly in English to get past the censors since the Romanovs lived in constant fear of assassination by Bolshevik forces.
