The insurance certificate that covered the 'total loss' of the Titanic for five million dollars.<br />
<br />
The original policy document shows the insurance cover for the liner was only taken out on March 30, 1912 - just two weeks before the ship hit an iceberg and sunk.<br />
<br />
The document states: "This policy is subject to total loss or constructive total loss of the vessel." It is being sold by Henry Aldridge and Son auctioneers.
