A retired aircraft engineer has been given a restraining order to stay away from his neighbour after gauging a hole in his swimming pool because he did not like his children playing in it.
The ugly neighbour dispute in the tiny north Dorset hamlet of Puxey started when former Army Major Jason Little and his family moved in next door to Stephen Gee and his wife in April 2012.
The two rural detached properties, worth about £600,000 each, shared a drive and had no other near neighbours.
Mr Little, 46, who was awarded the Military Cross for his skilful leadership in Afghanistan, said although the swimming pool was already installed when he moved in, his neighbours the Gees quickly took offence to his children using it and making noise.
