Ancient Greek gold wreath discovered - In rural Somerset.
An incredibly rare gold crown, believed to be more than 2,000 years old, has been discovered in the unlikely surroundings of a modest cottage in Somerset.
The delicate solid gold myrtle wreath, which is thought to date from the time of Alexander the Great around 300BC, is expected to make at least a whopping £100,000 when it goes up for auction.
The antiquity was retrieved from a tatty cardboard box kept under the owner's bed and he had no idea just how valuable it might be.
The wreath will be sold by Duke's of Dorchester on June 9.
