An unseen letter in which Sigmund Freud pointed out a 'Freudian slip' and accurately predicted the year of his death has emerged for sale.
In the 1933 correspondence the neurologist refers to a "slip of the pen", or Freudian slip, when commenting on an error his addressee, Theodor Reik, made in their previous exchange.
It appears Reik, a protege and close friend of Freud, mistakenly anticipated the publication of his next book. Where he meant to write 1934, he in fact wrote 1939.
The letter is being sold by American dealer Lion Heart Autographs for £10,000.
