Location, location, location stunning setting in north west Scotland.
A dilapidated former shepherd's cottage has been transformed by an architect couple to create a stunning remote bolthole.
The near-derelict structure had an earth floor and a rotten roof but is now a stylish and cosy three-bedroom house.
Gillian Scampton and Andrew Barnett, who both work as architects in London, bought Fernaig Cottage in the north-west Highlands of Scotland in 2012 and completed the project last year.
The quirky build has now been shortlisted for the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) House of the Year Award.
