A coastal holiday home that was broken in half by a landslip has been completely rebuilt with a clever design to prevent it falling victim to the natural disaster again.
The Crow's Nest has a floating structural frame that will act as an adjustable raft if there is any movement in the future and places for mechanical jacks to be positioned so the house can be securely re-levelled.
The ingenious concept was created by AR Design Studio, who worked closely with engineers to come up with a structure that couldn't be broken if the land shifts again.
After months of appalling weather, huge cracks started appearing in the ground in Lyme Regis, Dorset, in February 2014 as the Jurassic coastline shifted.
