Letter of provenance from Ullrich Ellenbeck who collected the signatures.

A rare signed postcard of Adolf Hitler which he presented to one of his guards because of their mutual love of dogs has emerged for auction.

Hitler gave Ullrich Ellenbeck this postcard of him relaxing in a suit with his German Shepherd Blonda and signed the postcard with the name 'wolf' which he only did very rarely for close friends and associates.

Hitler often referred to himself as Herr Wolf and would say 'I am the wolf and this is my den'.

He saw wolves as strong and ruthless in his image and described the SS as his 'pack of wolves'.

Ellenbeck was an SS guard at the Berghof who worked with the guard dogs there and and it was a conversation about their respective dogs which prompted Hitler to sign the postcard.
