The menu from the November 1980 state banquet at Buckingham Palace where the guest of honour was the King of Nepal. It reveals that esteemed attendees dined on gourmet French cuisine including beef bourgignon which was washed down with a selection of international wines.<br />

The fascinating archive of a longstanding member of staff to the Royal family has emerged for sale.<br />
<br />
It features a selection of Royal Christmas cards, including one from 2019, as well as a slice of wedding cake and an order of service from Charles and Diana's wedding in 1981.<br />
<br />
The vendor, who wishes to remain anonymous, is also selling their Royal 'personal service' medal and the menu and seat plan for a state banquet in 1980.<br />
<br />
They worked at Buckingham Palace from the late 70s to the beginning of the 21st century, receiving Christmas cards every year since as a token of their service.<br />
<br />
The collection is being sold with Charterhouse Auctioneers, of Sherborne, Dorset. It is expected to fetch £1,500.
