A letter revealing Admiral Lord Nelson's extensive dietary demands for his fleet ahead of the Battle of Trafalgar has sold for over £3,000.<br />

The naval hero did not want a lack of supplies to compromise the British blockade of the French fleet at Toulon in 1804.<br />
<br />
So he instructed one of his captains to head to Sardinia to collect 'fresh beef' in the form of at least 60 live bullocks.
