A guitar Ed Sheeran used for an impromptu performance to entertain the troops in Afghanistan has emerged for sale for £7,000.

The superstar visited Camp Bastion in 2014 to boost morale and was handed the small acoustic Martin LXK2 by a serviceman.

He had taken the instrument on tour of him to play to his comrades and chose this model as he was a fan of Sheeran's and had seen him use it.
When Sheeran was handed the guitar, he noted it was a model he was familiar with and played his hit song 'A Team' for the small gathering.
