An extremely rare 19th century vase that had been turned into a glass side table has sold at auction for a whopping £160,000.

The bronze antique had been made for the British banker Thomas Hope as one of a pair, with the other vase being in the V&A Museum in London.
Hope commissioned the gilt-bronze pieces for the dining room of his mansion home in London in the early 1800s.
