The iconic costume worn by film star Jack Nicholson when he played Batman's greatest foe the Joker has emerged for sale - with a whopping £40,000 price tag.
The purple three-piece pinstripe suit, bright orange shirt and trademark tie was made famous by Nicholson in the 1989 blockbuster film.
The custom-made costume even comes with matching leather gloves and an imitation 'joy buzzer' used by the Joker to electrocute enemies.
The costume belongs to an American film memorabilia collector and is being sold by Bonhams in New York.
