The Dunkin' Buddy being used in a latte.

A revolutionary gadget has been invented to solve the age old problem of soggy biscuits falling to the bottom of the cup.

The device is shaped like a tray and sticks to the inside of a mug or glass to catch any biscuit fragments that might disintegrate as they are dipped in the liquid.

It measures 3cm wide and 5.7cm long - the perfect size for firm favourites like chocolate digestives, rich teas, bourbons, custard creams, cookies, and malted milks.

A user simply has to place a biscuit inside the tray and move it up or down to dunk before taking it out and eating it.

The contraption, dubbed the Dunkin' Buddy, was invented by Jason Wells, 31, and Kiana Machnicz, 21, who are from Connecticut in the USA.
