Charlotte the Penguin finally learns to swim.

Keeper Alistair Keen at the Birdland sanctuary in the Cotswold's has finally managed to teach aquaphobic baby penguin Charlotte how to swim.

The 10 month old hand reared chick had never dipped her toes in the attractions large pool, and Alistair's initial attempts to introduce her to the watery enviroment resulted in her splashing around in panic and racing to the side as fast as she could.

But now after gentle cajoling the flightless bird has finally realised she is a penguin and now Alistair's main problem is how to get her out of the pool.
