One of the last Volkswagen Beetles ever made that was once owned by Formula One mogul Bernie Ecclestone has emerged for sale for £16,000 with just 63 miles on the clock.

The iconic silver motor was one of just 300 'last edition' models sold in 1978 to mark the end of production in Europe - and experts say it is the finest of the limited run in existence.

The motor was among the 50 rare cars sold off by the F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone in 2007 and it was snapped up by late British entrepreneur Jimi Heselden, owner of Segway.
This one is now tipped to fetch £16,000 when it goes under the hammer at Bonhams auctioneers on behalf of a private collector.
