Small Game Hunter...

Intrepid photographer Colin Varndell has accomplished one of the trickiest assignments in wildlife photography...capturing 'wild' pictures of the humble British Dormouse.

Although most people would imagine stalking Lions, tigers or leopards is pushing the photographic envelope, it is in fact the endangered rodent that is amongst the least photographed of 'wild' life.

"Almost every picture you see of a Dormouse is taken in captivity or in a handler's hand' says Colin, 'I set myself the task of trying to capture these elusive creatures in the wild'.

After many painstaking hours spent tracking his prey in the Dorset countryside Colin has finally captured these amazing photo's of the elusive creatures going about their business.
