A large step up from a garden gnome...Lindsay Hoadley cleans up the enormous bronze horse.
This magnificent equine sculpture is being sold at the annual Summer Place auction of garden statues near Billingshurst in West Sussex.
The enormous bronze head was commissioned for Camden Lock and its flared nose bears the patina of thousands of hands brushing it for good luck in the bustling market.
The striking sculpture by architect John Dickenson is thought to be based on French artist David's famous painting of Napoleon crossing the alps and was created as a memorial to the famous market's origins as stables and a horse hospital owned by Pickfords removals.
Those who have a garden big enough will have to splash out £25,000 to secure the 15 ft high bronze statue.
