The world's first amphibious boat to feature tank-style caterpillar tracks that allow it to be driven out of the water and onto land has been launched.

The state-of-the-art speedboat can travel at speeds of 40mph on the water - then at a touch of a button the tracks can be deployed so it can be driven onto the land.

The makers of the luxury vessel, called the Iguana 29, claim it can handle a range of terrains from sand to mud and can go at 4.5mph when ashore.
The revolutionary design banishes the need for a trailer, but boat owners will have to dig deep for the privilege - prices start at £200,000 and go up to £300,000 for the top spec model.
