An exceptionally rare Vincent motorbike that was dismantled into thousands of pieces and put into boxes is to be sold after a pensioner painstakingly pieced it back together.
This 1949 Black Shaw model, considered the first ever superbike, was deconstructed by its former owner so it could be rebuilt to factory specifications.
However, due to financial problems the project stalled, which provided Geoffrey Hearn the opportunity to take on the remarkable restoration.
Upon purchasing the bike for £25,000 nine years ago Geoffrey, 85, had to transport the machine to his home in March, Cambs, inside five cardboard boxes.
